Our Produce

I aim to offer full traceability and transparency with all of our produce.
That way you can see the farms and local businesses behind this movement in sustainability and animal welfare.
The farms and suppliers I use are chosen because of their rearing/ growing methods with the focus on free range, pasture reared, hormone, chemical and GMO free.

My suppliers also share our passion for animal welfare by ensuring that animals are raised and transported with absolute care. In my opinion, the true cost of cheap meat is animal welfare.

I try to use as much native produce in my fruits and vegetables as possible and always strive for organic produce. I love working with heirloom varieties and believe that these are of upmost importance so no two vegetables taste alike. By implementing these native, locally grown foods and heirloom vegetables on my menus I hope to raise awareness in these unique and historical foods so that they will be here for the next generation to grow, cook and maybe even create an entirely new cuisine. The idea that every piece of fruit is the same size/shape and flavour is just unnatural and frankly quite bland.

In their own words..
Farmhouse is open all the time and, what’s more, unlike most other food websites, there is no middleman – we connect you directly with farmers and small producers all around Australia. Everything you buy is grown or made, packed and shipped by the producer.

Our community of farmers and producers is constantly expanding, which means you have incredible access to ingredients that are unique, seasonal or only available directly from the source.
Farmhouse is for people searching for high-quality, unique produce who also care about where their money goes.

A fair share for farmers
Farmhouse is not a website that fronts a traditional supermarket or logistics warehouse. When you buy online through Farmhouse, 90% of the money from each purchase goes directly to the producer. This is about the same as a farmers’ market in town. In contrast, traditional retailing often sees the producer only earn 10-30%.

Northern beaches farmers markets!
